About the service

Elements of our Sunday Gatherings

Meeting Others

As a visitor, you’ll have an opportunity to meet people, but you’ll never be asked to come “up front” or be put on the spot.  Before the service we have a casual fellowship time where you’re free to mingle or enjoy coffee.

Musical Worship

Guitars, drums and other instruments are important elements in our musical worship.  Each week we strive to provide an environment where people feel welcomed into the throne room of God, where they are free to sing, pray, or raise their hands as they feel so led.  As we believe God is glorified through every culture and tongue, we value worshiping in a variety of styles- hymns, contemporary, gospel and occasionally even songs in different languages.

Teaching of the Word

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, and everything else we do as a church – pursuing relationships with one another, worshiping God with music or spoken word, prayer and service ministry – is based on the Truth found within its pages.  Because God has graciously revealed both Himself and His will for our life in Scripture, we place a heavy emphasis on spending time in His word.

Each Sunday we take time to carefully examine the Scriptures, both listening as the Word is preached as well as reading and meditating on it at various times during the service.  Musical worship helps us ready our hearts before hearing the Word and also provides time afterward for the Spirit to soften our hearts so that we receive it humbly and joyfully.
